stone pieces - projection

The time images from 2009 try to open the boundaries between the still and the moving image, while trying to scrutinise the media immanent characteristics of photography and exploring new limits.

Using the technique of video projection, the continuous image sequence intervenes in the still image and changes its predominantly form-given, abstract status, opening up and reinterpreting the image through new reference systems and associative spaces.

Stone pieces tries to pursue photography as a graphic recording medium. Mutual to horizon, the line between the specific, realistic image of the objects and a possible abstraction is being opened in the image itself; with the time-wise change of the image, the picture puzzle between a delicately, documentary photography and a painterly-graphic aesthetic begins.
