water pieces deals with the central motif of the water surface. Created in Ecuador, they purposely indicate diffuse areas from the darkness. Due to the reflections in the water, the surrounding space coincides with the depth of the water, which is mostly dark and contains little information. Individual vague plants and creatures become visible, but they are rather general in nature. Recognizable forms are deliberately negated.
Formally the thought of an abstract, gestural painting is evoked which is additionally intensified by colour areas.
